Venn Diagram

Learn how to visualize search results of various keyword combinations to better refine your search.

Search Tips

Main Search

Venn Diagram searches are constructed by stringing together multiple terms separated by the Boolean operator "AND," with phrases grouped together in quotation marks.

For example, let's search for "james bond" AND copyright AND sony using the Venn Diagram option within the Business and Legal Aspects of Sports and Entertainment database.

The results displayed on the right side of the page pertain to the search as it was originally constructed. The original search combining all terms will appear by default, visually represented by the red intersection of all circles in the diagram.

Segmented Searching

After running a search using the Venn Diagram search, select Clear for the ability to hover over the different segments of the diagram and see all possible search term combinations from our original query.
