
Access to HeinOnline’s Scholarly Impact Rankings varies depending on your subscription status and where you are viewing them:
1. Subscribers: HeinOnline’s Scholarly Impact Rankings are accessible to subscribers of the Law Journal Library as a dedicated subcollection titled Scholarly Impact Rankings. From this section, researchers can browse rankings, access related articles, journal titles, and author profile pages, and, when logged in, download a CSV of the ranking being displayed.

2. Non-subscribers: Non-subscribers can also access a public view of the Scholarly Impact Rankings from the HeinOnline website. However, because they are not logged in, they will not be able to follow links to author profiles, journal titles, or articles, nor download a CSV.


The Most-Cited Authors by Subject ranking allows users to see which scholars are the most influential within a specific field of research. This ranking is available in both major ranking categories: ABA-Approved Law Schools and Comprehensive Rankings.
Users can filter the rankings by subject to identify which authors are leading the scholarly conversation in their area of interest. Each column, including h-index, h5-index, citation counts, and access counts, is fully sortable, giving flexibility in how to analyze the data.
