The main search bar at the top of the collection homepage will search across the full text and metadata of all materials in the Provincial Statutes of Canada database and can be used to perform topical searches.
For example: Enter "Administrative Procedures Act" AND Alberta and select Just search for.
TIP: Click the Search Help link for a list of commonly used search syntax and additional search examples.
To limit the results, use the Refine Your Search facets on the left-hand side of the screen.

Use the Advanced Search link, located beneath the search bar, to perform a more specific search. Users can search various metadata fields such as text, title, creator/author, and description. For example, let's say a user wanted to search for a statute in regards to the cruelty of animals in Ontario between the years 2000-2020.
Tip: Use the * symbol to perform a multiple-character wildcard search. For example, animal* will search for variations of the word "animal."
